We are a small family farm who have been in the cattle business all our lives.  We bought our farm in the beautiful Big Valley, Alberta area in 1986, where we started with just a few head.  We have raised cattle the entire time.  Through those years, we’ve raised three handsome sons! who were involved with local 4-H clubs, school sports and all played Jr. hockey.  Both Greg & I are involved with non-profit organizations to support both our community and our neighboring communities.  Like the world around us, the Mappin homestead has been an ever evolving operation.  In 1986, the word “internet” was non existent!  Now, it’s the way of life.  So we decided to embrace this opportunity and raise good wholesome beef for our urban neighbors.
